Maybe some of you don’t have enough money to purchase all sort of furniture items. If you are in this situation, you need to be practical. You can always replace the computer desk with computer wire shelving. You will have a place to keep your computer and also you can manage the additional storage space in the way you like it such as making it into a shoe storage area for yourself.

You can purchase the wire shelving from any home improvement store and the good news is that it is very cheap. Because you want to use it as a desk for your computer, the coated wire shelving is the best option for you. The wire shelving is coated in vinyl layer, so you will probably find it in various colors.

First you will have to make some measurements in the area where you want to position the computer wire shelving, in order to know the dimensions of the wire shelving. The second step is to establish the exact position where the shelf will be installed. You can do this by drawing a level line. All you have to do is to draw 3 points, for the two ends and the middle, by measuring the distance from the floor to the wanted height. The height is very important because you want to make sure that you will have enough space for your legs under the shelf.

Once you made these measurements you will make some holes with the drill. In these holes you will put the clips that will secure the shelf to the wall. You should make the holes so that the clips will be positioned about 12 inches apart one from each other, and try to hit the wall joists for support. Support brackets, or legs should be installed for additional support as you will want deep shelves to hold all of your stuff. All you have to do is to make some holes in order to attach the joiner plate to the wall.
